I had a rare opportunity to meet a few of my High School mates while I was in another part of town. What a joy it is to have met them because we had lost contact for more than 20 years after we completed High School and found employment at various parts in the Country.
However, during our excited discussions, I noticed that I had to keep repeating much of what I said. I realized soon enough that my friends were hard of hearing and all of them worked at a metal sheet Industry.
They were victims of Occupation Hazard to their hearing because of the noise level from that kind of heavy Industry in metal products.
Apparently their Employer did not protect their workers by providing the best hearing aids that would have helped my friends such physical devastation to their hearing ability years later.
