People who live in a Tunnel

Today, I write about what the title of this Post states, “People who live in a Tunnel”. And believe me, it is as real as you have arrived here to read, real as life, real as you and I whose hearts are still pumping.

There be people who fail first to check out the facts and in with their delusion live dangerously by skimming on the surface of how things appear to be. Of course how they will also appear to be with a good helping of dreams of Never-never land. In other words, they prefer to be guided more by feelings of their hearts and they shun from common sense reasoning.

I have to be corrected because I often say this:

The human mind believes only in what it chooses to believe in: twits being an exception.

That could never be said about these kind of people who run their lives through the darkness of their tunnel, hoping that they will see light at the other end.

Light indeed they ought to see if they last their tunnel of life but wait a second……

Yes, yes, the hapless person does see a light, and it’s bright. But what’s that rumbling sound?

OMG! it’s a train heading right on the path of the hapless daydreamer who has staked his life and future on his irrational imaginings that his life would be amply provided, safe and happy.

Indeed, that’s how I’ve seen some who are reckless with decisions for their future. They live only for the moment’s pleasure.

Sadly, I think that you are right. There are many who think that life will always be like a fairytale and we see more and more of this on the television. How many times do people say ‘I thought that this could never happen to me!’

Life is short and we should try and make it wonderful. So all of us should realise that anything either good or bad can happen at any point in time, any day of our lives, any year from the moment we are born until we draw our last breath. So we should, for our own safety, be switched on to reality. Is it not sensible when riding in a vehicle down a long and winding road full of twists, turns and bends to slow down. We cannot see around the corners so to be safe we need to take our foot off the gas and apply the break so that we don’t crash into something unexpectedly.

Life is a struggle for everyone. No-one whether they are rich or poor escapes the hazards. We like to think that some guiding star or angel will protect us from them but we have to help and try and protect ourselves. This is not only our duty it is what we should do as payment for the privilege of experiencing life itself – the privilege of being alive. What are the chances of having such a wealth as life itself? It is worth more than any pot of money. It is worth more than any palace or jewel it is something that no-one can ever buy. It is truly wonderful and we should never forget that every second is irreplaceable and we will never see it again!!

Thank you for this post – it’s a chance to remind us all of what we have and hold and what we should never lose sight of.

I hope you are well today, Windy … people in the blogging world appear to be very quiet this week. It’s August, let’s have a little more chatter from everyone …..

Just a little extra note – why doesn’t my avatar appear on the blog? I am really puzzled by this!
