Idioms and proverbs abound for the most innate passion of man and woman. There are so many on both sides when it deals with the equation of love.To begin with, even as a child, before I understood what romantic love is, I used to hear others say that love is blind.
As I grew up, I more or less understood what that meant. The Movies, the books that I read and real life examples of others were good enough to underscore that love is blind.
Now who was it that said there are none so blind who have eyes that see not? Was this said to describe the folly of those who love and are blinded by their own senses?
Or is it a face that could launch a thousand ships as it once described in Greek mythology about the beauty of Helen of Troy. Does it mean that love inspires a thousand ships of courtiers or a thousand ships of war as it was the cause for the Trojan War in the case of Helen?
It is a heavy life price to pay when love benumbs a person’s ability to think rationally. There are humans when in the highest form of virtue and are in love, they ironically lose all their virtues. These literally lose their minds and fail to look before they leap…into conjugal bed of course!
How often have we heard it said, “If I had known earlier, I would never have married him?”
Oh well, sorry for you mate. You were too blind then to hear the counsel, “Marry in haste and repent at leisure”.

I truly agree with you here Windy if i had only thought more and took more time i would not have been in some of the relationships that i have been in.
