Setting modesty aside, I consider spelling as one of my strengths. I am too good at it that I can ONLY see the misspelled words in a sentence and not the correct ones, LOL! I remember during grade school when I competed for the Spelling Bees. I believe it has always been my forte.
When I became a blogger in 2007, words came easy. But there are times when I had to Google the correct spelling of some words especially when I am experiencing brain farts, ha ha ha! I tend to edit, re-edit my drafts before hitting the publish button. I don’t care if my grammar sucks as long as the words are spelled rightly, hehehe!
Anyways, one of the words that I had to google more frequently is bureaucracy. Being a public servant, I find it an irony that I have a hard time spelling the word out correctly. Thanks to Thesaurus or Google, LOL!

I agree with you. I’m also confused with that word at times. The order of “eau” in a word, that is.

we grew up learning American English in the Philippines, so when i went to Canada, i had to re-wire my brain for British English spelling, e.g. cheque, centre, favourite, behaviour, orthopaedics, fibre, centimetre, licence, organise, manoeuvre, traveLLing, counseLLing, judgEment, etc… it drives me crazy at times when a coworker proofreads my report and corrects my American English spelling. ugh!

it used to irritate me to no end, that i cannot spell that word right. what i need was pronounce it exactly how it’s spelled, and i get it right every time ever since
