I have some friends that works for a non-government organization, World Vision Foundation to be specific. Two of them are my classmates in college and the other one in the Graduate School. I was green with envy when I saw their photos uploaded at a social networking site. These photos were captured from the different countries in the world that they have been to. I can’t believe they have toured the different parts of the world brought about by the nature of their respective jobs.
Who does not dream of traveling? I believe most of us would love to enjoy the perks of traveling from all over. And what is even more exciting is when we do business where leisure is attached
When I’ve asked them if it did gave them fulfillment, they all gave affirmative answers. It was striking to learn though that while the nature of their work mostly gave them the chance to mingle and get attached with the people in the deprived communities from the different parts of the world, they never put education on the sidelines. I was amazed when I learned that they are currently all enrolled in online degree programs. I am not sure though if it is at WaldenU.edu. I have yet to ask them if they have heard of Walden University’s online degree programs. I have to recommend the site to them so that they would learn about Walden more. I have heard a lot of positive feedback about the site and I want my friends to benefit and take advantage of what they can offer to their students.
I am all hats off to my friends for strongly believing that education is indeed a continuous process. It certainly never stops on graduation day. Equipped with all the skills and knowledge, I am sure they still have a long way to go.
