During the conduct of the resumption of registration, we have faced the influx of incoming registrants from the different parts of the city. Since our manpower and the capturing machines are very limited, we could only accommodate 100 pax throughout the day. But there are times when they exceeded especially when we had to cater them for only a limited number of days. That is why we had to resort to crowd control.
Since we handle this kind of predicament the entire duration of the registration process, we had to keep everything in order and we also had to foresee the safety of each and everyone. We have actually requested for stanchions, velvet rope and barricades to implement these precautionary measures. Good thing the Local Government have been very supportive with whatever endeavor we undertake. Without thinking twice, our requests were always granted. It was on the whole for the welfare of the voting populace of the city.
During the period when we cater to the various registrants in the country, I have observed that impatience through the entire registration process can be very evident. Once, we have conducted the said endeavor in a big gymnasium and the bulk of people going through it were just too much for us to handle. I wonder where they have been during the period when we should have accommodated them earlier in the registration process. I can only surmise that my countrymen are always fond to work their way in the concluding moments of the process.

In the City's gymnasium during the registration with my Boss, TV journalist Ces Drilon and some subordinates
When I was once interviewed over one local TV station here, I have strongly emphasized that they shouldn’t wait for the 11th hour just to beat the deadline. As early as now, they should let themselves free of the nuisance and inconvenience of going through it all. Once all the people flock all at the same time to register themselves, they shouldn’t say I haven’t forewarned them. I could only hope that I was heard, and I meant heard LOUD.
